Stress Management for Peak Performance

Managing stress is key to peak performance. In many situations, some stress is unavoidable and in fact necessary. Performance improves under moderate levels of stress. However, when stress goes unchecked, it can lead to distress in one’s life. This interactive workshop will focus on helping participants recognize triggers and signs of stress, identify current adaptive and maladaptive ways of coping, and learn new strategies for immediate or ongoing stress management that can set you free to function at your peak.

Capitalizing on your Anger: Fuel for Productive Action

Anger is often thought of as destructive and negative emotion that people strive to not feel. However, anger is a universal emotion and a highly necessary one. Anger often cues us to the reality that perhaps we are being disrespected or being treated poorly; that perhaps something is happening to us that we do not want. This workshop is built to help participants make this paradigm shift to recognizing the value of anger and learn new strategies for channeling anger effectively.

Preventing Suicide: You can be the Change

Notice something off with your colleagues? Does your supervisee seem to make vague references to depression and suicide? Every year close to 800,000 people take their own life and there are many more people who attempt suicide. Suicides are preventable with timely, evidence-based and often low-cost interventions. This workshop creates space to start difficult conversations toward the goal of destigmatizing mental illness and changing the narrative from hazard to hope. Participants will learn to place signs they notice along a continuum of Stress, Distress, and Crisis. Participants will also build active listening skills and skills for making referrals to appropriate resources.

The Masks we Wear: Discover Your Most Authentic Self

We all have masks we wear, personas we project to the world, often out of fear that our authentic selves with all its imperfections will be rejected or ridiculed. Such inauthenticity however can lead to feeling like an imposter and engender a greater sense of disconnection and lack of belonging. This powerful experiential workshop allows participants a chance to bring greater awareness to the masks they wear and the fears that keep them from living as their most authentic selves. This workshop creates a connected, healing space that can generate a sense of safety and compassion and there by lead people to lean into their vulnerability, which is the birthplace of innovation, creativity and change.

Break the Glass Ceiling: Empowering Women to Lead

In India, Women make up 30.55% of the corporate work force and only 3% are represented in higher management. Female leadership is proven to bring greater creativity to organizations catapulting their growth and productivity. The multitude of invisible barriers that hinder a woman’s career advancement are not only disadvantaging women but are keeping societies from achieving their full potential. This interactive workshop engages all individuals in the organization in conversation about gender biases and equity. It creates space for women to explore fears and barriers that hold them back, identify challenges around work-life balance, and learn strategies to step into their power and find the courage to lead.

Consent: Let’s talk about sex

Sexual violence is a serious public health problem with substantial health and economic consequences. Sexual violence is sexual activity when consent is not obtained or not freely given. This workshop creates a safe and open environment for young adults to have conversations about sex with the goals of enhancing participant’s awareness of their own relational expectations and understanding the importance of consent, of improving communication skills as well as skills to manage one’s own expectations, hopes and disappointments.
